Lakefront Estates CDD was created by Glades County Ordinance No. 2023-7. The ordinance was enacted April 11, 2023 and became effective April 18, 2023. The district can finance and manage certain public improvements, levy assessments, adopt budgets, and issue bonds. Those powers belong to the district. They are not the same as the developer's ownership of the land. Okeechobee Community Developers LLC remains the company the offering document calls the landowner and developer. The district's website, meeting packets, budgets, and audits are primary places to update this record.
